Tribl 1 - Tribl and Maverick City Music

Personally, this one is not my favorite. I like the highlight songs Still Holy, Lovesick, and High Praise. And I also like the Spontaneous Song Prepare the Way.  This album is okay, I don't hate it don't love it.  It is really simple but not like hymns simple that we still worship with.  I still was able to worship with them when I first listened to it, but the second time listened I went into critic mode.   Like I said it is not bad just not my cup of tea. Lovesick is a song I have heard multiple times before this album. Housefires sang it, Elyssa Smith sang it with the great Steffany Gretzinger, now tribl sings it.  I like the live Housefires version best but I wish Chandler and Steffany were there.  Still Holy, and High Praise sound like songs Brandon Lake was involved with writing. If you know Brandon Lake songs you know he gives off a vibe.  I have a spot in my heart for spontaneous songs because they come from Holy Spirit. You can tell whether or not the worship leader h

Peace:The Album - Anna Golden

This album... I don't hate it. I don't love it. Honestly, she brings the kinda "I know I'm bomb" vibes like Tasha Cobbs Leonard started to have after her One Place Live album. This makes sense since she (Anna Golden) is her mentee. The album has a gospely feel mixed with a little pop. I like that she does not sound different when she sings live as to her studio songs. I don't feel like her studio songs are explicitly Christian(such as use scripture, say Jesus, or God /Lord.) I feel like this is really for newer followers of Jesus and people who are more new-agey. I has a little hip-hop feel to it also.  She is probably most well know for her cover of The Blessing with Selena Gomez. I do like the album though but I just don't have much to say about it. Happy Listening!!!
