A Week Away - " Christian" Movie From Netflix with Amazing Sountrack

 If you know me, you know that most of the time I download music not buy it. But when I listened to this soundtrack I had to buy it! The soundtrack is amazing with Newer Versions of songs by Steven Curtis Chapman and Amy Grant both of which had a cameo in the movie. They also covered songs by Michael W. Smith, Rich Mullins, For King & Country, and Audio Adrenaline with a few original songs.

The movie is more Christian lite. It feels a little like a redemption movie for Netflix doing the whole gay Jesus movie. Jesus forgave them it will take a little more than this for me to, but I am trying. Although I still will watch some stuff on Netflix, some people did a whole boycott.

The movie seems like a kinda Christian version of High School Musical with a little Camp Rock in there.  The thing that makes the movie good is the music. The best song is the medley of Awesome God and God Only Knows.

The movie stars Kevin Quinn, who starred on Disney Channel's Bunk'd for the first two seasons. It also stars Bailee Madison who has been a series regular on a few shows. 

I think that is it. Well, I could tell you more but then I would be spoiling the movie.

 Homecoming, when I first heard about this album I was thinking " That's an odd name for a worship album."  After listening to at least the first and last song ( and maybe a couple in the middle) the name makes total sense. I was super excited about this album, much more than the last album from Bethel Music titled "Revival's In The Air". Actually, most of the songs from that album are great songs they just took a while for me to realize it.  The first songs I will talk about are the song that you may have heard before. Inhale (Exhale) - MercyMe

 Two songs, that's it only two songs that actually did not make me want to fall asleep. Not trying to be rude or funny but is it sad I just realized that there are usually only 2 songs on a MercyMe album that do not make you tired. Not that is boring it just sounds like something I would use to put my little cousin to sleep.  If you listen to the radio and hear a MercyMe song, it is a good chance those would be the only songs you would like. It wasn't that memorable but it was peaceful so if you need noise to go to sleep this is it. I can't even say more than a paragraph and a half it is just simple. Well... Happy Listening !!! :-)

Feels Like Home Vol 1 & 2 - Israel & New Breed

 Israel Houghton, more popular through his Praise & Worship style albums and his moniker Israel & New Breed. Of course, when the revelation that he fathered 2 children from a lady he wasn't then-wife Meleasa Houghton, Israel lost a lot of fans. I know that was years ago people still should not be talking about it. I am just being real. So this album like his album road to DeMaskUs is a little too Gospely for me. It is different if he was a gospel artist. But he really is Contemporary Gospel and Contemporary Worship than CCM or Gospel.  The covers of his older songs are interesting...
