 My Savior- Carrie Underwood and Live TV Performance with Gospel Legend CeCe Winans
Most people who know me that I listen to strictly only Christian Music with barely any exceptions. Like excluding movie soundtracks maybe ten artists... Carrie Underwood is one of those artists. 
    
        Of course, because I love more contemporary worship music, people who sing pop/country music appeal more to me than to other genres. When I heard Carrie Underwood was releasing a gospel album I literally jumped with joy.  She already slightly gave us a taste with her Christmas Album and her version of Hallelujah with John Legend. I listened to this and was honestly a little jealous God did not gift me with a voice like John's #honestyisthebestpolicy.  To kick off her album she released 3 singles Softly and Tenderly, Nothing But the Blood of Jesus, and Great is thy Faithfulness with CeCe Winans. 

    As a sort of album release tease at the CMA, Carrie and CeCe blew up live television with their stellar performance of a collection of hymns from My Savior. Carrie Underwood brings a peaceful but powerful voice to these classic hymns. Well, happy listening!!!

 Homecoming, when I first heard about this album I was thinking " That's an odd name for a worship album."  After listening to at least the first and last song ( and maybe a couple in the middle) the name makes total sense. I was super excited about this album, much more than the last album from Bethel Music titled "Revival's In The Air". Actually, most of the songs from that album are great songs they just took a while for me to realize it.  The first songs I will talk about are the song that you may have heard before. Inhale (Exhale) - MercyMe

 Two songs, that's it only two songs that actually did not make me want to fall asleep. Not trying to be rude or funny but is it sad I just realized that there are usually only 2 songs on a MercyMe album that do not make you tired. Not that is boring it just sounds like something I would use to put my little cousin to sleep.  If you listen to the radio and hear a MercyMe song, it is a good chance those would be the only songs you would like. It wasn't that memorable but it was peaceful so if you need noise to go to sleep this is it. I can't even say more than a paragraph and a half it is just simple. Well... Happy Listening !!! :-)

Feels Like Home Vol 1 & 2 - Israel & New Breed

 Israel Houghton, more popular through his Praise & Worship style albums and his moniker Israel & New Breed. Of course, when the revelation that he fathered 2 children from a lady he wasn't then-wife Meleasa Houghton, Israel lost a lot of fans. I know that was years ago people still should not be talking about it. I am just being real. So this album like his album road to DeMaskUs is a little too Gospely for me. It is different if he was a gospel artist. But he really is Contemporary Gospel and Contemporary Worship than CCM or Gospel.  The covers of his older songs are interesting... I prefer the original but gospel music fans would probably like the new versions.
