Best Days - Martha Munizzi

 YES!!!! Another album from one of my favorite gospelly singers. Since most people know I do not listen to much gospel music, I can cut right to the chase and tell you which songs I personally love! 

This album sounds like a typical album you would hear from Martha Munizzi. The only thing is I was expecting more praise songs or at least upbeat songs. I love that her daughters are featured on here! I love it when a family worships together!

My Favorite song from the album is I'm Gonna Win (Glorious 2.0). If you couldn't tell it is a remixed version of Glorious. It features a new song but ties into the original closer to the end with the chorus " I was created to make your praise Glorious."The next best song is Fight For Me. I can't give you any specifics. I just like the upbeat nature of the song and the mix with the right words. There is a radio edit for this song, that I heard on Sirius XM. The declaration song and exhortation were really good. I like the intro and Best Days.  

The rest of the songs are good just not my favorite, but that is because I usually prefer a different style of music. When it comes to gospel songs I like praise music because authentic praise songs are lacking in CCM.

 Homecoming, when I first heard about this album I was thinking " That's an odd name for a worship album."  After listening to at least the first and last song ( and maybe a couple in the middle) the name makes total sense. I was super excited about this album, much more than the last album from Bethel Music titled "Revival's In The Air". Actually, most of the songs from that album are great songs they just took a while for me to realize it.  The first songs I will talk about are the song that you may have heard before. Inhale (Exhale) - MercyMe

 Two songs, that's it only two songs that actually did not make me want to fall asleep. Not trying to be rude or funny but is it sad I just realized that there are usually only 2 songs on a MercyMe album that do not make you tired. Not that is boring it just sounds like something I would use to put my little cousin to sleep.  If you listen to the radio and hear a MercyMe song, it is a good chance those would be the only songs you would like. It wasn't that memorable but it was peaceful so if you need noise to go to sleep this is it. I can't even say more than a paragraph and a half it is just simple. Well... Happy Listening !!! :-)

Feels Like Home Vol 1 & 2 - Israel & New Breed

 Israel Houghton, more popular through his Praise & Worship style albums and his moniker Israel & New Breed. Of course, when the revelation that he fathered 2 children from a lady he wasn't then-wife Meleasa Houghton, Israel lost a lot of fans. I know that was years ago people still should not be talking about it. I am just being real. So this album like his album road to DeMaskUs is a little too Gospely for me. It is different if he was a gospel artist. But he really is Contemporary Gospel and Contemporary Worship than CCM or Gospel.  The covers of his older songs are interesting... I prefer the original but gospel music fans would probably like the new versions. He also sang his version of How Great a song he wrong with multiple members of covenant worship including the Binions.
