Worship Forever - Michael W. Smith
The only good thing to come out of 9/11/2001 was Michael W. Smith's album titled Worship. That same album won many awards and actually spun off another album titled Worship Again, which won a grammy award.
This album, intended to be a 20th-anniversary album for the original "Worship" album is titled ... Worship Forever. Most of the tracks for the first worship album are featured on this album. This album, unlike the original but like the 2nd in the series, has a few featured artists. These artists include Amy Grant who sings probably his most popular song with him, Agnus Dei, Matt Redman sings a song he actually wrote, The Heart Of Worship, and Tauren Wells who sings More Love, More Power.
The setlist, almost identical to the original, includes an almost short spontaneous intercession, a mash-up of his popular versions of surrounded and waymaker, a reprise of Forever, and a studio version of his new song Sing Again.
The songs on this album are classics and people who have been walking with the Lord a while should appreciate this album. The funny thing is my church still sings about half the songs on this album.
All I have to say is this is a very peaceful album. Great for prayer time or even to bring the kids to sleep. Amazing worship from Michael W. Smith meets the expectations. It is basically the same album as the original.
